TAMPA (WUSF) - Rumors have been spread for several years about the impending demise of University Mall. Too much competition from newer malls, especially a huge one being built to the north in Pasco County. Even one about it being leveled for a site for a new USF football stadium.

Put away the rumors, says Tom Locke, the mall's general manager. The owners are announcing a $10 million renovation plan that he says will transform the mall. © Copyright 2012, WUSF
