New Hospital Report Card Available

SPRINGFIELD, IL (wsiu) - Illinois residents can now see how hospitals in the state measure up before they make a visit.

The Illinois Department of Public Health's Hospital Report Card allows patients to view hospitals statewide on a variety of measures including nurse staffing, cost of procedures, quality of care...and safety.

Spokesperson Melaney Arnold says the goal is get the information out to the public so that they can make better informed decisions.

The Report Card is now available on the department's website at www.idph.state.il.us
