The Shawnee Energy Fest energy and home improvement fair at Green Retreat near Carbondale has been cancelled due to lightning advisories from the National Weather Service. Event organizers say the forecast for the weekend predicts severe thunderstorms, including the risk of lightning during the scheduled events. Since The Energy Fest is an outdoor event, it has been rescheduled for safety reasons.
